Plastic Bearings

TEFLON® floc fibers may be compounded into plastic resins and molded into a variety of self-lubricated bearings and gears. The most common compound is DELRIN® AF acetal resin. This can be used to produce low volume one of a kind parts from shape stocks or high volume parts from injection molding. These parts provide the lowest coefficient of friction for any DELRIN® resin and provide lower wear against metal than micro-powder filled compounds. Examples of DELRIN® AF are shown below:
